it's not an error, it's a warning (i.e. not fatal). The patch I've sent should fix it (since it doesn't make sense to keep functionality that is prone to exploits). If you don't bother having about 55 bytes extra in your log files (if you're logging vdr's stdout at all), you can also just ignore it.
