I've uploaded at http://club.telepolis.com/l.o/vdr/ttxtsubs/ an additional patch to the "directors cut" ttxtsubs patch. The new feature is a delay for live view/recordings (adjustable separately). It's hackish but "It works here(tm)".
Bye

The url seems broken. I'm kind of interested if this could solve the problem with timing using xine.

I've reuploaded it: my isp is extremely crappy, but I cannot change it, if I do I'll lose my "free" fixed IP and I'll have to pay 12€ more to have one (now I'm paying "only" 45€ a month for a 512/128 adsl line, go figure).

It does here.

I've integrated those dc and dc2 patches and the new one is nowadays called as the premium edition - and yes, I forgot to inform you, Luca. Hope you don't mind ;)
google: vdr-ttxtsubs-0.0.5-premium-edition.diff.gz

Well, I don't know about that, but it should contain all the modifications of Luca's vdr-ttxtsubs-0.0.5-directors-cut2 patch and, yes, the patch is totally untested, but nobody hasn't filed any bug reports :)
