I'm pleased to announce the first public release of softplay, a media file player for vdr with the softdevice as output device. You can get Softplay from the softdevice's homepage at:

Softplay features:

- supported file formats: depending on your ffmpeg version: *.avi,*.mpg,*.mov,*.mp3,*.ogg,*.wav - vdr like keymapping - playlist support (editing during playback is possible)
