A number of UK HD channels have the 'audio description' track as the first audio track in the stream
e.g., Stream #0.0[0x201]: Video: h264 (Main), yuv420p, 1920x1080 [PAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 56.55 fps, 50 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc Stream #0.1[0x281](NAR): Audio: mp2, 48000 Hz, stereo, s16, 192 kb/s Stream #0.2[0x295](eng): Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, s16, 384 kb/s
When playing back in VDR frontend it always just defaults to the first audio track in the stream, requiring a switch each time.
Is it possible to make VDR default to automatically pick the highest quality (e.g. 5.1 > stereo) local-language tagged audio track?

You could try to set the preferred audio language to "English" in Setup/DVB. It should then automatically select the track marked with "eng" over the one marked with "NAR".

Thanks Klaus, I'll give it a try.
