The AirTv brand single tuner adapter for North America is a Hauppauge WinTv-HVR-955Q that has been OEM built for AirTv with the Vid,Pid of 0x2040,0xb124. [1] single tuner adapter. For this adapter to work, a function that reflects the Pid of the AirTv card needs to be added to the supported cards function list in /media/drivers/usb/cx231xx/cx231xx-cards.c and then make and install the module. In the case with my distro, cx231xx-417.c was not defining the right firmware for cx231xx based tuners. It was defining the broken v4l-cx23885-enc.fw firmware image, but after changing it to v4l-cx231xx-avcore-01.fw then make and install module, the tuner reports and functions just like a Hauppauge Wintv-HVR-955Q.
