VLSI Technology was a semiconductor company, founded in 1979, that (amoungst other things) produced the VLSI VES1820, VLSI VES1893 and VLSI VES1993 demodulators. VLSI was acquired by Philips in 1999 and absorbed into its former semiconductor division, which itself has since become NXP Semiconductors.
