These Pinnacle cards are based on the Bt848 chip, and were the original PCTV series. They are also sold under the Miro brand. The PCTV Pro includes an FM radio chip.

The Pinnacle cards are supplied with a remote controller which is the same as for Pinnacle PCTV 50i

Card features

  • PCI
  • PAL/NTSC/SECAM
  • Video/audio decoder: Bt848 (bttv)
  • Analog demodulator: MSP3410D-B4 (msp3400)
  • TV tuner: Temic 4002 FH5 (also possibly Philips on some cards)
  • FM radio chip (PRO only): MSP3410
  • Supports 16:9-format (?)
  • Resolution: 768x576 and 720x576 (PAL)

The card has no on board sound AD nor remote control input.

Card connectors

  • TV RF signal: ??? with adapter to IEC connector (PAL)

  • Video Input: Composite Video (RCA socket)
  • Audio Outputs: 3.5 mm jack
  • FM radio RF signal (PRO only): Internal RC jack with flying wire to IEC connector
  • Video composite out (internal)

Connecting the card

  • The TV antenna signal is connected to the antenna input.
  • A cable (supplied) should be connected from the card audio output connector to a generic sound input (usually found on the main board).
  • The remote control sensor cable (supplied) is connected to a 9 pin serial input (usually there is one on the main board).
