[linux-dvb] Increasing width of OSD with VDR

Hi,

I wanted to increase the width of the OSD to full screen width to see
more from the recording titles. I set MenuColumns to 50, but only the
status display worked fine. But the OSD-Menu didn't appear. 

Does someone know the reason for that?

A quick look through the sources of VDR and the DVB driver didn't show
any limitations beside the 720 pixel horizontal line width. As the
average font width is 13 pixel 50 columns should work fine and as I
noted above, worked fine for the status display.

Any ideas?
