Well, I was hoping to be able to implement this while switching to
the new API, but apparently that's not that easy.

Adding this AC3 PID was a little premature, so at the moment it does nothing,
and I will strip that code in my next revision. I want to first make sure
the "status quo" runs stable on the new API - and I'm afraid that's still
going to be quite a bit of work...
