dvbtune is a good way to tune to a channel... tuxzap
should work too... tuxzap comes with a handy graphics
interface, while dvbtune is command line only...
(tuxzap is included in the cvs tree, and a working
dvbtune for the head cvs version is available at
http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/dvbtools)

Yes, if you want to see/hear audio and video :)

Ow I know that Satellite :) Opensky runs there,
doesn't it?

in reality thats 27500 (or a reallllly slow
transponder ;))

dvbtune -f 11283000 -p V -s 27500
then apps/scan/scan
and then fill in to give:
dvbtune -f 11283000 -p V -s 27500 -v <vpid> -a <apid>

for example:
dvbtune -f 11283000 -p V -s 27500 -v 2621 -a 2641
for M6 Swiss, if that's what you wanted to try :)

1) http://www.lyngsat.com/ or
2) Try the app in the apps/scan/ directory of the cvs
tree of the driver... for me, it works fine...

Well, it has been a while that I did that by hand, but
in my understanding as soon as you tune to a tv
channel with a valid video/audio pid it gets displayed
on the tv out ... (I use vdr, thus those things happen
automatically for me)
