[linux-dvb] Re: New Hauppauge Nova-s

Hi,

on 2002-12-18 I've got my new WinTV NOVA-s. Unfortunately the card has
the new SU1278/SH tuner with the STV0299B. (PCI-Id 0x13c2, 0x100f)

I tried dvb-20021221.tar.bz2 and the lorenzen driver but got only poor results:

- cat /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 | ./ts2ps 0x65 0x66 | mplayer -cache 2048 -
  shows half a second TV, some seconds wild colored blocks, some TV-frames
  again and so on. Sometimes some fragments of TV-sound are beeing received

- with debug=1 the log seems quite good

- szap -r zdf produces following result:

Does anyone got better results with the NOVA ?

BTW on win98 the Card is working after I downloaded the new version 1.48 of
the NOVA driver. The card was shipped with the 1.46 version which doesn't
support the Philips tuner :-)
