[linux-dvb] Re: AW: AW: mplayer divx rendering

I searched three days to find the solution...:-)

I arrived to that conclusion befause I searched on the internet and I realized that it was the driver of the frontend (fe!) so it had to do with the tuner. As my card had no cable attached, I understood it could have been like this.

I have another problem however: as I use astra only on the second LNB, I have to start VDR (or another program) to tune the card on a hotbird channel, THEN I can use mplayer.

You have it, but it don't waste so much cpu-time.
yes, that's want I wanted to say.

I think, the author should prevent this zig-zag behavior if the card doesn't
get any signal over a long time.

Also because I think very little people in the world use the old astra satellites, outside germany.

I'm going crazy with mplayer too. I can't get mplayer 0.90rc3 with the
mplayer.sh006a to play divx over my dvb for a whole film.
When i start it, it works fine. After 5 or 10 Minutes it becomes very slow
and "ruckelig". I really tried everything and i cant figure it out.

My setup is even 'powerful' and no nfs: athlon 2000+ and hard disk. mpeg2 replay is just fine.

Should I try with old, non-newstruct drivers?

bye
