Actually i dont intend to just record ad play back streams.

I have a design in which i need to use WinTV's Demux and Sigma Designs
EM8470 Decoder.

So just using VDR doesnt help me.
I need a Multiplex stream out of Demux which i can give as input to Sigma
decoder.

I have one more query : 
How does the devices in the DVB driver get configured?
By this i mean when i tune to a particular channel, and i set filters on
demux with OUT_DECODER, how does the driver know which decoder it has to
output the demuxed stream to?

Are there any load time/ configuration parameters for DVB driver?

Any help is greately appriciated.

You are talking about a Sigma Design Hollywood+ card (an MPEG2 decoder
card), aren't you ?

If you just want to watch TV, record and cut some movies and ...what do
you think about VDR (Video Disk Recorder - just google for it). The (nearly
stable) developer version together with the DXR3/Hollywood+-plugin could
match all your needs.
