There are two chips inside the silver metalbox:

A large one:

VLSI Vista
9951 N62041N1
VES 1893A
DSSDVB RECEIVER
COMATLAS27288A

and a small one:

Mitel SC
SP5659
9949B  ( ?? Not sure - its difficult to read )

Is that what could be expected on a 1.3 card ?
