I got my hands on a budget card (TT-Budget/WinTV-NOVA-S PCI) and tested it with the current dvb-kernel CVS, both under 2.4.20 and 2.5.67. It worked.

Please try again and make sure that no old stale files are lying around, ie. that you don't load an old modules by accident.

Btw: Alan Cox has included my patch, so with 2.5.67-ac1 we have nearly synced with CVS.
