I've tried a few versions of the DVB driver and VDR. Using various
pre-NEWSTRUCT drivers with VDR 1.1.13 works well. Using the
linux-dvb.2003-04-27 DVB driver from the VDR Developer FTP site + VDR
1.1.29 (similarly for some earlier versions of VDR and earlier
NEWSTRUCT drivers) gives the following behaviour using a Nova-T card
in the UK:
* tuning into BBC1 works well
* tuning into BBC2, BBC3 and BBC NEWS24 (on the same multiplex)
rarely locks on
* tuing to BBC4 which is on another multiplex works well
* BBC radio stations work well
* other channels usually work well, though I've seem some odd
behaviour after VDR has difficulty locking onto a BBC multiplex

I use the same versions of VDR and drivers as you but I have no such
problems.
There may be differences (apart from frequency!) in the channels.conf
but I don't have mine here at work. I do know that I have 0 instead
of the 27500 field and in the third field I don't have the D12 part - IRRC
Sorry I don't have any better suggestions.

I found that this version had problems when it came to changing to or from channels with the altered QAM etc. The later versions that require all parameters in channels.conf work much better.
I have the 27500 in all lines, but D0 rather than D12 throughout.

I checked last night and I also have D0 thoughout. I checked on my Nokia STB and
this parameter is blank for every channel. Simon, have you tried changing this?

Simeon

ok, now works with szap and mplayer (cat /dev/....chorizon)
thanks, anyways more info will be wellcomed
