[linux-dvb] Re: Microtune 7202D - Avermedia DVB-T good news!

Holger! You Beauty!

I have compiled up the sp887x.c with success and I now appear to be able to
get the frontend working - -well at least it's tuning for me!

I now have a completed channels.conf created using DVB/apps/scan.

DVB/apps/tzap -r is now happily tuning away and generating what I would
consider to be correct output:

[root@mm szap]# ./tzap -r "ABC TV Melbourne"
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
tuning to 226500000 Hz
status 01 | signal ffff | snr ad2a | ber ffffffff | unc 00000000 |
status 1f | signal ffff | snr aa8a | ber 00000099 | unc 00000000 |
FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal ffff | snr aaca | ber 000000ba | unc 00000000 |
FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal ffff | snr a8ca | ber 00000099 | unc 00000000 |
FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal ffff | snr a8aa | ber 0000008d | unc 00000000 |
FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal ffff | snr a95a | ber 000000a7 | unc 00000000 |
FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal ffff | snr a9ca | ber 000000a8 | unc 00000000 |
FE_HAS_LOCK
etc...

xine works a treat but I havn't been able to get mplayer going.

I'll document all the steps required over the weekend.

So - Avermedia DVB-T now works with Linux!!!!!!

regards,

Mark
