My Nova-S with kernel 2.6.1 and 2.4.23+1.0.1 takes exactly the same time 
to change channel.
Other people reported problems with 2.6.0prexx kernels, which wasn't up 
to date with dvb-kernel;
maybe they should try kernel 2.6.1 instead.
