When I had a paytv subscription, I was able to record a movie from paytv
and now, that my paytv subscription expired, I am still able to watch this
record (with vdr). So vdr record the unencrypted mpeg data.

Unfortunatly I didn't try the stream-plugin for vdr, when I had paytv, but
I think it should work. But have in mind, that you are only able to
broadcast (stream) one channel per cam and subscription. (until the
mentioned experts, find a way to let the cam handle multiple code words
(?)).
