[linux-dvb] Re: No frontend device with Skystar2 and Kernel 2.6.0



Hi Nico,

Depens on what version of the Skystar2 that you have I know of three namely
1. The Original Skystar2
2. Skystar2 rev 2.68B
3. Skystar2 rev 2.68C

Sounds like you have one of the later ones you need the CVS driver for the
2.6 kernel with the new frontend modules.

you didn't load the frontend driver: modprobe stv0299 for a 2.6[BC] or
modprobe mt312 for a 2.3.
Anyway you had better use 2.6.1: it includes precious patches to  mt312.c
