[vdr] Upgrade from 1.2.6 to 1.3.x ?

Hello,

I am currently thinking about upgrading.

I am aware that 1.3.x ist still in developer state but as I read this
mailing list
it seems to be at least as stable as 1.2.6 now.

Can you tell me...

- What are the benefits from the user point of view?
- Are there any compatibility changes in a way that
   I have to convert any data or config files?
- Can I switch between 1.2.6 and 1.3.x (e.g. by changing a symlink)?
- Are there any drawbacks I have to know about?
