That's probably because either tuner or demodulator are not identified
by the driver or something else went wrong. The default will always be
DVB-S in that case.

Based on your log not even the firmware was correctly on your card. 
So, either the driver does not know how to handle the card version you
have or something else is wrong with the card.

But, AFAIK, there is no new Siemens DVB-C card version.
The TT version of the card always was a little different in layout. 
Now it seems they changed something else. 
Does anybody on this list own a TT DVB-C card which is not Rev. 2.1?

I said this is all I will be able to support in 4 weeks (if Convergence
goes down) since that's the only card I privately own.
That does not mean I would completely drop support for all other
versions, just that I could no longer actively work on those
cards myself.

Finding out if the card you have uses different tuner and 
demodulator chips would be a start.
