[vdr] Cutting mencoded avi-files

Hello list,

A little off-topic, but I believe some of you might be able to help:

I am 2-pass encoding the single .vdr-files from a recording and I get some
very good quality avi files I'd like to join and cut them into 2 equally-sized
parts.
When I do this with vmware and virtualdub (the whole cutting process), the
output avi files are as they should be, too, but something is still wrong
with
them. They don't have the flag IS_INTERLEAVED set, while the original mencoded
avi files have (output of mplayer) and I can't correctly seek in them,
mplayer
DEMUXER tells me there are too many packets in the video buffer and stops
audio
replay. Then I can see the correct video, but no audio any more. No problem
with
the original mencoded files.
I've tried to at least cut all three files together to get one 2-cd-sized
file.
I've used avicat for that, but the output files have the same problems that
the
input files don't have, even when I set the flag IS_INTERLEAVED manually
(modified avicat.cpp)

Help, please ;) I want to get these recordings burned somehow

Greets,
Sascha Volkenandt
