lirc is working at last!
The new version of vdr has done the job. That I have had problems with it, 
was only because I mismatched both versions: the old one was as a copy in 
/usr/bin, so I always started the old and not the new one.
Very clever!

Thank you all very much, just talking about the problems is allways helpfull.
