It is a good thing (tm), to identify the problems to be 845 chipset related, 
because this reduces the possibilities. I have the problems since many 
months, and I wasn't able to isolate the problem (no wonder, I just have the 
845 board). Even if I am not a kernel hacker, I am a pretty experienced linux 
user and will try to invest some time, I will try to look for PCI transfer or 
interrupt problems. Perhaps we should address these questions to the dvb 
mailing list, because it is hardly vdr related. 
Please keep on trying to find this bug.
