[vdr] Help with Twinhan VP1020 and Mandrake 9.2

I am currently in the process of setting up a box with the Twinhan 1020a card (red pcb)  I have had this working forever with windows but would like to get a linux solution working as well.  Once I get the OS up and running (hell with drivers from ATI and nvidia, builtin ethernet/sound and a radeon 9200) what should the steps for me be?

 

This is what I understand so far:

 

Install the OS and all peripheral drivers

Get and install the linux dvb drivers (not sure which ones or what steps to follow to set them up)

Get, install and test the dvb test applications to ensure that I can get signal from the DVB card (expressvu is currently the bird pointed at, both 82 and 91)

Get, install and configure VDR (with plugins)

Install a front end for this all (Mythtv or Freevo etc...)

 

Is there a guide that steps through this process for linux newbies?
