[vdr] channels.conf question (with details)

Hi ML ...

2 points to give more information about my questions regarding
channels.conf and the way this file is updated :

• if i switch on a channel set by hand in channel.conf, i have sound/image but no information about the current program (EPG info). On the other hand, if i switch on a channel "auto-updated", i have EPG info (current program + next program) but no image/no sound

•  In Program Screen, i see information about the current program (received by EPG).
  For example, BLABLA on ABMOTEURS. If i switch to this channel, no image / no sound.
  The parameters of this channel are not correct (AB MOTEURS:11681:h:1:27500:8191:0:0:10002:202:318:15900:16387), they are differents of those i setup manually in channels.conf for watching sucessfully this channels (AB Moteurs:11681:h:1:27500:161:84:0:10002:202:0:0:0)I guess these wrong parameters are set by autoupdate.
  

Do you advice me to disable autoupdate ? But what about EPG ?

Does information about channels kept only in channels.conf ?

2 questions about channels.conf :

1. i was unable to switch directly from "Programs Screen" to the correct channel. For example i see on this screen that ThisMovie is currently on ThisChannel (given by EPG, i guess), but if i select this channel, i do not see anything, except informations about the current program and the very next. Note that i can see ThisChannel when i select it in "Channels Screen"
   Any ideas ?
2. How is update channels.conf ? I see in "Channels Screen" channels that are not in my channels.conf
