In my opinion the biggest problem currently is that sometimes the stream
"does not start" once you have changed the channel, no data is sent from
the server. The stream may start after you change the channel again, but
usually I will have to jump around channels in different muxes until it
works again. And then I can switch to the channel I originally wanted.

I had this problem when a new channel is on different satellite and positioner movement delay causes tuning failures. Zapping inside terrestial channels and between sat and terrestial work perfectly if dish movement is not needed. Perhaps there are dvb driver and dvb hw dependencies? I use default drivers with 2.6.7 kernel. I increased channel switching time parameter to about 25s which is the worst case for me for 28.2E->1.0W movement. I think it made some improvement effect because now after waiting patiently some time the channel appears. The ch+ ch- trick is usually faster after dish movement.
