VDR 1.3.12, DXR3 client and DVB-T server.  Both ends PowerPC 604e,
on-board MACE ethernet (10 megabits per second half-duplex) connected
through switch.

At times VDR client shows lots of broken (audio and video) frames,
even on channels that limit themselves to 3,5 megabits per second.
When using HTTP streaming and gxine instead of VDR, there is no
problem with streams that momentarily use up to 7,0 (maybe even more)
megabits per second.  Playing recorded content over NFS works fine.

Would it be possible to choose between TCP and UDP in streamdev plugin
settings menu?  Though it should be also possible to make UDP transfer
mode work fine since NFS gets about as much data through with no
problem.
