[vdr] LIRC and SVDRP not working?
Hello
i only coppied some large file into /video0 (because there
was enough space) and installed chkrootkit 0.48 (debian backports)
chkrootkit found port 2001 "susspicious"
a netstat -tulpen | grep 200 shows "vdr"
so nothing to worry...
Some time later in found that my RC via lircd is not working anymore.
Too i get "connection refused" if i try
telnet 127.0.0.1 2001
After a while of rebooting etc. wondering why there is no OSD anymore
remembered that vdr (1.3.18) is a bit pissy about "his" directory
i moved my big non-vdr files away...
Suddenly the RC works again!
2001 was still dead. Only a restart vdr reopens the port.
Oooh?
There was not the SIGHTEST obvious hint in the log file what
vdr was complaining about
i restarted VDR serval times, and saw that everything is clear:
27:33 msi vdr[6310]: setting primary device to 1
27:33 msi vdr[6310]: SVDRP listening on port 2001
27:33 msi vdr[6310]: loading /video0/themes/sttng-default.theme
27:33 msi lircd 0.7.0[6296]: accepted new client on /dev/lircd
27:33 msi vdr[6310]: remote control LIRC - keys known
27:33 msi vdr[6310]: switching to channel 1
27:33 msi vdr[6325]: LIRC remote control thread started (pid=6325, tid=147466)
..
long time after i removed "my" files i got:
38:12 msi vdr[6310]: ERROR: removing stale lock file '/video0/.lock-vdr'
Was that the reason?
Is that really required?
Why can't vdr state that he is blocking and why?
It's every move in EGP.
Or what was going on?
What has the directory contents to do with the RC or SVDRP or OSD?
