There are problems with the Skystar 2.6 (I use such a card too). But the
usual symptom is that the *first* recording after starting VDR exits. A
reload of the DVB modules usually fixes the problem.

A periodic restart is often a symptom for a bad signal. Concerning you
have just installed the new card, double check that the second SAT cable
is really working.

I'm using the 2.4 drivers and had this one or two time, but only while
testing and never during normal operation, including the "normal"
emergency exits.
