[linux-dvb] Re: Siemens DVB-C and analog support - I first test

Hello Frank,

But I totally off the track how I can bring the programs to the tv screen.
Unfortunately this is impossible. The tv-out functionality of the DVB-C card comes through the av7110 decoder chipset. The analog module, however, is completely separated from the whole DVB part. It features a separate video-decoder for the analog inputs which are connected to the second video input port of the saa7146.

There is no easy way to get the analog video to the tv output of the DVB
card.

It's technically possible to capture the video from the analog output, encode it to mpeg in realtime, then send this stream to the DVB part, which will decode it and display it on the tv output. This is how the analogtv-module for vdr works, but currently the capture stuff is broken.

Please be patient, I'm working on it. The problem is, that all drivers are driven by the av7110 module, although some revisions slightly differ in the video parts, especially the DVB-C card with analog module.

Greetings
Frank
CU
Michael.
