[linux-dvb] Little advice needed with spdif connections

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone could help me out a little bit with this wiring
problem I'm having. I'm trying to route the spdif signal from my Siemens
rev. 1.5 dvb-c card through my Soundblaster Live Player 5.1 soundcard.
Has anybody done this already?

I've been examining the pinouts of the connectors from vdrportal.de

http://www.vdrportal.de/board/portal_vdrinfo.php?site=7&infonr=4&infoln=en&sid=8a18f76e84cca6c6e4a1fc5e3d0d156d

but I don't quite know how to make the connection. I've got a two-pin
connector on the soundcard named "CD SPDIF" which I think can handle the
spdif input but I'm not sure which pins from the dvb-c card to connect
to that. Looking at the pictures of the dvb J1 connectors pin-out from
the above link there is pin no.4 called "SPDIF Output" which is certanly
the other one. But I'm wondering whether the other one is pin no.2
called "VCC +5V Output" or maybe pin no.10, ie "Ground"?

A related question, after I've made the connection, what switches should
I enable in alsamixer, to enable the passthrough of the spdif signal?

Many thanks in advance,

Juhis
