[vdr] Re: VDR-1.3.19: missed VPS recording "c't Magzin"

Hi,

I don't understand why VDR didn't record the mentioned programme. Below lines come from /var/log/messages (current channel was 7, VDR started with -D0 although two devices are present in the box):

Feb 5 12:28:00 video vdr[7695]: switching device 1 to channel 16
Here VDR switched device 1 (the primary device) to channel 16.

Feb 5 12:28:01 video vdr[7695]: switching to channel 7
But right after that it saw that there is no programme being displayed
on the primary device, so it switched to the current channel.

This is one of the pitfalls with VPS currently. Apparently it works
only if there is a free (non-primray) device available at the time.
Since I have two non-primary devices I haven't spent much time in
making this work properly, yet. I'll get to this once all the audio
track stuff is completed and stable.
