EPG question

Hi, my son last night came up with an interesting question. Why can't I read EPG descriptions of broadcasts on a different channel than I'm currently watching? E.g. I was watching the news on ZDF and he wanted to check what was up on Galileo on Pro7 without switching channels. I mean, the EPG data is there, there's no technical need to switch channels when all I want to do is see other channels' EPG descriptions... has anybody thought about this? -- It is easier to be a "humanitarian" than … [View More]

No sound from Dxr3 (Hollywood+) with dxr3 plugin.

That did the trick! Thank you very much. It seemed like I had some leftovers from another ffmpeg installation in a place where the makefile pointed to, exactly as you said. Removed, changed path in makefile, compiled, and viola: sound is coming out of the speakers! Thanks again /Bob

xine OSD wrong when scaling

I'm using VDR 1.3.22 with the xine plugin 0.7.2 and xine compiled from today's CVS. The display is to a 1024x768 screen and xine is started with -pf to scale the image up as needed. (Currently using -V xshm because I can't get vidix to work[*] but that shouldn't matter at all.) Using any of the various OSD blending modes with the xine plugin doesn't work. [PATCH] vdr-1.3.22: do not create zero-sized vdr.nnn files

The following patch avoids the creation of zero sized vdr.nnn files if a recording is disturbed (loss of signal etc.). Without this patch it is possible to fill up a recording directory with 0-sized files up to the maximum vdr.255 quite fast. Testers and feedback welcome. Wolfgang

Hello, I don't get any sound out from my H+ card when using VDR and dxr3 plugin. I have tested with VDR 1.3.12 + dxr3-0.2.3-pre2 plugin (unpatched) and VDR 1.3.18 + dxr3-0-2.3-pre3 plugin (patched). Using gentoo linux 2.6.10-r6 with an Avermedia 771 DVT-T card. Playing back with Mplayer works fine with analog/pcm/AC3. Use of the 'osd' device.

Hi. I have seen a lot of talk in the list about the use of OSD, implementation of menus and so on. I have not found though, any doc about how osd is accessed at the lowest level ( ... open(/dev/adapter0/osd0)... ). I found no API in v4l2 for that either. I have a Hauppauge nexus-s card and would like to play with the osd display. Can anyone tell me where I can find any info about the osd device and how to access it ? Thanks.

dvd-plugin cvs: unchecked access to SPUdecoder

Hi, cvs version of dvd-plugin has one unckecked access to spu decoder. this causes segfaults if attached device has none. See attached diff. -- Stefan Lucke

Hi Klaus, When a "live" record has been initiated from the main menu (using the red button), a "Stop reccording PROGRAM" entry appears in the main menu. If I go to the Timers or the Recording submenu and then remove the corresponding timer or record (yep i have to confirm two times), when i go back to the menu the "stop recording program" is still there. I'm running vdr 1.3.21 and bitstreamout-0.70 I have tried with my MoBo's integrated soundcard ( via82xx ) and with a C- Media ( cmipci ) + latest stable alsa. Same problems with both setups. I'm getting a A/V sync delay thats very hard to get correct by using the 'delay/livedelay' parameters. Does the delay correction actually work? Xine and skinnotrans

Hi all, Is it possible to have xine and skinnotrans plugins working together? If yes, does anyone has a patch for compiling skinnotrans plugin on VDR 1.3.21, I am not able to compile 0.0.1 version at the moment. Thanks in advance Cristiano
