EPIA SP + budget hardware mpeg2/4 acceleration?

Hi all! I'm thinking to buy a EPIA SP (when it's be available) to work with VDR. My question is if VDR can use EPIA SP mpeg2 and mpeg4 accelerator that provides the CN400 chipset that comes with EPIA SP or I have to wait someone to develope a VDR plugins and linux drivers for CN400 chipset (I think it's inlcuded in 2.6 kernels). Increase remote timeout?

What variable would I set to increase the time to enter numbers with the remote control before they timeout? I find that I have to enter the numbers really fast or vdr will switch channels before Im done pressing the keys. Best Regards,

[PATCH] Experiments with a dxr3 and the xine plugin

Yesterday I was bored and tried to use the xine plugin instead of the dxr3 plugin. It works, it doesn't need more cpu than the dxr3 plugin (maybe a little more memory) *but* the osd is missing some colours (xine limits the number of colours to 4 for the dxr3 display, I think that it's the supposed limit, even if the dxr3 plugin manages to get more than that), the yaepg plugin only shows the summary (not the grid) and my plugin ;-) doesn't show at all. HEEEEELLLPPPP!!!! =;-D I feel better now. I can't get burn plugin to compile or vdrsync gui to work. I must be doing something wrong. vdrsync works. If this interests anybody the error messages are on the forum in the German threads and maybe even international. TIA as always Cheers Tony

Hello, I have a quick question about the vdr-vdrcd plugin. In the readme and on Sascha Volkenandt's website, I read that this plugin "makes (at least) the two entries VCD and DVD obsolete, and that's why you can disable them in the latest versions" AND "If the type of media is known and an appropriate PlugIn is loaded, it starts it". burn-plugin: menu and sync

Hi, first time I tried the burn-plugin to copy two recordings to dvd. I only generate an ISO-image and checked this via loop-device. Later I used a separate growfs-command to generate a dvd. It is not possible to use the generated menu with my dvd-players (checked: xine, powerdvd, vdr-dvd-plugin). A second issue is, that audio and video of the second recording are nearly one second out of sync. When I play the vdr-file sync is fine. Are these known problems? Especially the menu-stuff is annoying. Bye Thorsten
