The easiest way to get everything you need is to download the ffdshow codec set. Get a copy of PVAStrumento and run it. Click on the file browse button "..." Select vdr file (you can select multiple files if recording is split) Select MAKE PS Use all default settings except set packet size to 2048 If you are getting the output from this program split into seperate files then take out the 3 options that say 'split if .......' in video and audio. This may not be a good idea as the video or audio format has changed during the recording. Change the file name and take away the starting '\' otherwise the output file is going to be on the root of your C: drive. Hit start (this takes just few minutes but some people have said it looks like it freezes at about 90% and waits for 10 minutes) Now get a copy of VirtualDub-MPeg2 (note it has to be the MPEG2 version not the standard version) click on file and open and select the MPEG file you just created. You need to set one option. Click on video / compression and select the codec for compression (eg ffdshow codec) select save as AVI (This takes about the same time as the recording) If it errors out during the encode with an error about bad frames - run it again but select options and debug and tell it not to stop encoding. and for the final step you need the Nokia Media player. Note if you have installed the cd that comes with your nokia phone that gives you the suite of tools you will probably already have this installed. Click on file and open. select your new avi file. press STOP as it will start playing it. click on file and save as select '3gp video files' as the type of file and select the 'no size limit' and the screen size of your mobile phone for example for a nokia you would use 128x96 select the location and give it a name. (this step takes about the same time as the recording) Once this file has been created you can transfer to your phone memory and watch. This may not be the fastest method (or give the best quality) but I have to start somewhere. Feel free to comment if you know of better tools or better settings. [View Less]

[PATCH] femon-0.9.0 with stuttering patch

To compile the femon plugin (0.9.0) with VDR and stuttering patch I have included a version number into the stuttering patch that is used in the femon-stuttering patch. http://toms-cafe.de/vdr/download/vdr-stuttering-1.3.22+version.diff http://toms-cafe.de/vdr/download/femon-0.9.0-stuttering.diff The stuttering patch is originally downloaded from http://vdrportal.de/board/thread.php?postid=289928#post289928 It is needed for the analogtv plugin and works with VDR-1.3.25 too. Summary missing when using Text2skin

When using vdr-1.3.25, I cant seem to find the code in text2skin to display the recording summary properly. The summary just comes up blank. When I do not use text2skin, then it works just fine. The conversion of summary.vdr to info.vdr went fine. Can anyone give me a hint? Best Regards,

Lockup problem

Dear list, I've got a linux 2.6 system which locks up (not respoding to keys, blank display - can't be sure if its a kernel panic) totally about twice a day. I've narrowed the problem either to em8300 driver itself or the vdr-dxr3 driver. Vdr is running nicely without dxr3 plugin and the system is stable more than a day :-) Vdr with the plugin, random lockups appear. Hey... I have used vdr for almost three years now, and I must say that I'm very happy with it. But a few weeks ago, I upgraded from the stable to the developer-version (1.3.17, Debian-packages from e-tobi.net), and now I have a problem: tosvcd doesn't work with recordings of the developer-version. Hi Listies, today I subscribed to a movie on Premiere Direkt (currently there is a free movie for subscribers at http://www.premiere.de/gratis-film ) I tried to watch the movie and tuned to "Premiere Direkt 2". To my surprise the radio plugin showed its background picture as if it thought I tuned to a radio channel. Hi, I'm planning to work back on the parental lock plugin that I've made loong time ago, and which doesn't work anymore on the last VDR version (by the way, congratulations to all vdr/plugin developer) I'm thinking of a way to "limit" the needed patches for such "options", and I wonder if there is no way to include one more field to the channels.conf, which would enable/disable the viewing of the channel (in locked mode).
