[PATCH] Priority of transfer-mode should not be -1

Hi! The transfer-mode uses always priority -1. That presents a problem: If I connect to that vdr using streamdev, it switches the first budget device off from the multiplex transfered to the FF card, although there is a second identical budget device available. Also, if I had DVB-S FF and only one DVB-T budget and had a DVB-T recording with priority 10 and Primary Limit at 20, live DVB-T video would (wouldn't it?) be severed. Klaus, shouldn't transfer-mode be also using the Primary Limit value, so that recordings with priority less than Primary Limit couldn't distract the output of primary device? VDR constantly tries to change transponder frequency

Hi! VDR constantly changes the frequency of one multiplex in DVB-T. Here's an example: Correct: Urheilukanava;Suomen Urheilutelevisio Oy:770000000:C23D23M64B8T8G8Y0:T:27500:417+130:673=fin:929:0:113:8438:12289:0 But then VDR decides to change it: Dec 29 18:32:48 delta vdr[18069]: changing transponder data of channel 22 from T:770000000:0:3:0:2:2:2:1 to T:674000000:0:3:0:2:2:2:1 And then of course the channels stop being watchable. I took a dvbsnoop on PID 16 to grab the NIT tables (or whatever they're called). The two SECT-packets which are looped in the PID 16 are both in: http://anssi.hopto.org/dvbsnoop-MUX3-pid16 BTW, I put a debug output entry in nit.c line 173 to grab the frequency returned by getFrequency(), and I get these kind of results: FREQUENCY, 562000000 FREQUENCY, 658000000 FREQUENCY, 674000000 However the correct frequencies of the muxes are 490000, 578000, and 770000. However I've no idea why mux3 is the only one of which frequency VDR tries to change. -- Anssi Hannula

Which DVB-T

Hi, I'm planning to bye a DVB-T pci or usb for my vdr box, as in Spain TDT is running pretty well. Any recommendation is greatly appreciated. Looking for one that works well with '2.6.xx' kernel (drivers available) and vdr 1.3.40. Thanks in advance, luis

MP3/MPlayer plugin 0.9.14 available

Hi, a maintenance release of the MP3/MPlayer plugin is available from my homepage. It contains fixes for vdr 1.3.38 and other minor improvements. <http://www.muempf.de/down/vdr-mp3-0.9.14.tar.gz> NEWS: 08.01.2006: Version 0.9.14 development (vdr 1.2.6/1.3.38) - Fixed VDR hanging for some seconds when skipping songs and fixed pause mode freezing live background when using OSS output. Reported by Andy Grobb. - Now muting DVB audio while using OSS output. - Finaly restored the function of the back key (jumps directly to plugin main menu) (vdr >= 1.3.32 only). Thanks to Sascha Volkenandt for the hint. - During MPlayer playback, the name of the current videofile is now parsed from the MPlayer output. If you're using some kind of playlist hack, the MPlayer plugin will now report the correct filename. Based on suggestions from Ronny Kornexl. - Extended the example mplayer.sh file to show how a playlist can be passed to MPLayer. - Fixed segfault in progress display with skincurses. RE: [vdr] Different languaghes on right/left channel

After an upgrade to 1.3.34 all works just fine while viewing Eurosport and Nickelodeon. But if I make a recording from Eurosport och Nickelodeon and replay that recording I get audio channels "1" and "2" instead of the "nor+fin" and "sve+dan" i get during wathcing live tv. Is this expected behaviour or have I overlooked somethins else? VDR developer version 1.3.41 is now available at ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/vdr-1.3.41.tar.bz2 A 'diff' against the previous version is available at ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/vdr-1.3.40-41.diff The changes since version 1.3.40: - EPG events from epg.data or SVDRP's PUTE command now have their Title set to "No Title" if none was set. - Fixed checking toFile in cCuttingThread::Action() (found in a larger patch from Artur Skawina). - Fixed a crash when pressing '0' in the "Schedule" menu on a channel that doesn't have any EPG data (reported ny Alexander Hans). - Updated the Danish OSD texts (thanks to Mogens Elneff). - Fixed a missing ',' in the Greek OSD texts (thanks to Arthur Konovalov). - Updated the Estonian OSD texts (thanks to Arthur Konovalov). - Fixed handling the tfRecording flag when reading timers (bug reported by Andreas Mair). - Now checking whether the channel exists before setting the PMT filter in cPatFilter::Process() (thanks to Thomas Bergwinkl). - Now trying to reestablish the connection to the LIRC daemon in case it breaks (thanks to Ville Skyttä). - Updated the Finnish OSD texts (thanks to Rolf Ahrenberg). - Fixed channel switching with the Down (Up) key in case the current channel is already the first (last) in the list (reported by Frank Krömmelbein). - Removed the "buffer reserve" in Transfer Mode - it's no longer necessary with recent driver/firmware versions. - The epg.data file is now written when VDR exits (suggested by Daniel Karsubka). - Fixed cTimers::GetNextActiveTimer() so that it won't return an expired timer (reported by Rolf Ahrenberg). - Changed DVBS_TUNE_TIMEOUT and DVBC_TUNE_TIMEOUT to 9000ms to avoid problems with channels that have low symbol rates (reported by Suur Karu). - Fixed displaying the current audio track in the channel display. - When reading epg.data (or data from PUTE), the version number of events with table IDs smaller than 0x50 is now ignored because otherwise the current running status would not be set after a restart of VDR. - Implemented a timeout for remote controls that don't deliver "repeat" keypresses very fast (based on a suggestion by Luca Olivetti; problem with the new handling of k_Repeat keypresses in channel switching reported by Udo Richter). - When looking for the present or following EPG event, the running status is now always taken into account. - Now initializing the channels' schedule pointers when reading the epg.data file, so that the first WhatsOn menu will come up faster. - If a shutdown is requested, but the shutdown script doesn't actually halt the system, it is now tried again after 5 minutes (suggested by Helmut Auer). - Separated the 'install' target into several individual targets; renamed the 'plugins-install' target to 'install-plugins' (thanks to Helmut Auer). OSD doesn't work

Hi guys, please help me bcs I'm desperate. I had to re install completely my box and now everything is working but OSD !!!. I can't see menus nor any OSD on the xine screen. I'm using: - gentoo linux, kernel 2.6.14 - I have a Skystar2 - vdr-1.3.38 - vdr-xine-0.7.6 - xine-lib-cvs-20050814180000.tar.bz2 - xine-ui-cvs-20050814180000.tar.bz2 I start vdr with: ./vdr -w 60 '-Pxine -r' I'm using vdradmin to change channels. I can see this type of output. : vdr: osdflush: n: 3, 35.4 vdr: osdflush: n: 2, 28.2 vdr: osdflush: n: 2, 26.3 vdr: osdflush: n: 2, 26.1 vdr: osdflush: n: 2, 20.3 I've been three days looking for something similar in the web, in the list, everywhere, and I'm lost, can't solve it. Please tell me if you need more information to try to help me. Thanks a lot in advance, Luis
