mini-PCI card suggestion

I'm building a remote VDR device on a Dell GX260 SFF PC, which has 1x AGP low-rise slot and 1x PCI I'm having trouble finding a selection of video cards which will fit in the SFF case. Can someone recommend a card? It needs to have s-video out (doesn't need to have VGA - but must have s-video/Component/RGB)

Diseqc setup ?

Hello, I have just installed a new parabola (BISAT-G3 from http://www.radio-materiel.ch/scripts/rama/fiche.w?ref=BISAT-G3 ) with a nice diseqc (VNE-G3/G4 from http://www.radio-materiel.ch/scripts/rama/fiche.w?ref=VNE-G3%2FG4 ). And if I only use my first FF card it seems to work (only tested on hotbird and astra 19.2E). I used the full diseqc setup found in vdr source archive : is that the right one ? My second FF card don't tune to anything, even if I change the cable from second to first and vice-versa. Using only the budget card seems also to work, but I can't use two cards simultenously... desperated with vdr-burn

Hi, Finally I'm desperated with vdr-burn. Few days ago I exposed my problem but seems that I'm the one person that experience it. The problem is boost related: terminate called after throwing an instance of 'boost::io::too_many_args' what(): boost::too_many_args: format-string refered to less arguments than were passed Avortat I have tried the libboost debian package and the boost-for-burn that readme says. Is there any boost expert that can explain my problem? I can't believe that anyone known this problem. I have recompiled vdr and plugins many times. I'm desperated with this problem amb my hard disk is full. my vdr is 1.4.3 burn is cvs (I have tried it with pre-20 and pre-21 versions) Thanks for your help.

Any DST change problems?

We're coming up to the weekend when Daylight Saving Time ends in Europe. I seem to recall last time I tried this that there were problems with setting timers before the changeover to record programmes after it. Is this still an issue, and if so would restarting VDR after the change help? I see that timers.conf has the events in 'wallclock' time (when setting timers through vdradmin at least). -- Dave

Is it a "good" card to use with VDR? It's a USB via PCI-device, is this a good or a bad thing, does it matter at all? Thanks!

Can xineliboutput and dxr3 coexist?

Hi, I've got VDR (1.4.3) running on a machine by my TV and have just been playing with the xineliboutput plugin to stream vdr over the network. Everything works well on its own but I'd like to be able to have someone watching TV on one channel via the dxr3 and someone else watching a recording on the network via xineliboutput. Is this possible? Currently, if I install the xineliboutput plugin then there is no longer any output to the TV via the dxr3. Thanks Glyn

VDR deletes directories

Hi, I have the problem that VDR deletes directories in my /video0 or /video1 ... which not belongs to VDR. I use vdrconvert to convert my VDR recordings to DVDs so I have a directory /video1/filme which VDR deletes and vdrconvert breaks. Is it possible to deny the delete of this directory? VDR maintenance patch 1.4.3-3 is now available at ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/vdr-1.4.3-3.diff This is a 'diff' against version 1.4.3-2 (which is the official version 1.4.3, patched with ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/vdr-1.4.3-1.diff and ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/vdr-1.4.3-2.diff). Small fixes to the officially released VDR versions will be first made available as "maintenance patches" in the Developer directory, so that they can be reviewed and tested before a new official release is published. So please apply the above patch and report whether it works (or if it causes any new problems). This version requires plugins to be recompiled. The changes since version 1.4.3-2: - Fixed setting audio track descriptions after a replay has been stopped (reported by Ulf Kiener, thanks to Marco Schlüßler for pointing out what caused the problem).
