[ANNOUNCE] continue-plugin-failed-0.1 patch

Hi! This patch modifies vdr to not abort when only a plugin fails to load. This is motivated by me stepping over this case: I upgraded imagemagick and did not recompile weatherng and at next wakeup vdr refused to start and did not record anything. The behaviour is changeable in setup. Default is to continue when a plugin fails. The patch applies to vdr-1.3.41 and vdr-1.3.42. OSD doesn't work

Hi guys, please help me bcs I'm desperate. I had to re install completely my box and now everything is working but OSD !!!. I can't see menus nor any OSD on the xine screen. I'm using: - gentoo linux, kernel 2.6.14 - I have a Skystar2 - vdr-1.3.38 - vdr-xine-0.7.6 - xine-lib-cvs-20050814180000.tar.bz2 - xine-ui-cvs-20050814180000.tar.bz2 I start vdr with: ./vdr -w 60 '-Pxine -r' I'm using vdradmin to change channels. I can see this type of output. : vdr: osdflush: n: 3, 35.4 vdr: osdflush: n: 2, 28.2 vdr: osdflush: n: 2, 26.3 vdr: osdflush: n: 2, 26.1 vdr: osdflush: n: 2, 20.3 I've been three days looking for something similar in the web, in the list, everywhere, and I'm lost, can't solve it. Problem with fbxine and xine-plugin

Hi! I use xine-plugin 0.7.6. It works fine when I use xine (X11) but my Celeron-500 is too slow. So I tried it with fbxine. But it seems that fbxine does not recognize the VDR-keys as xine does. Hey Andreas Last night I tried recording "2 Fast 2 Furious" on ITV They cut the movie and inserted the News about half way through. This did not appear in the EPG so teh recording stopped 10 minutes into the news.... Is that an EPG issue or something that vdradmin should have picked up? DVD Plugin debug comments.

I am trying to work out why my system is segfaulting while attempting to play the contents of a DVD vobcopied to the hard disk, using the dvdselect and dvd plugins. I am not a developer, but have managed to enable debug messages in the dvd plugin and was wondering if there was anyone familar enough with the dvd plugin internals, who could tell me if the following debug output points to an obvious issue. fbxine video disappears audio and remote still working

Currently running vdr-1.3.41. I have vdr-xine-0.7.6 and cvs xine-lib and xine-ui. Applied all the patches and compiled xinie-lib and ui. command line to stat xine: fbxine -V vidixfb -A alsa "vdr:/tmp/vdr-xine/stream#demux:mpeg_pes" Using matrox g550 video card. Nexus S dvb card. Remotely playing a network mounted dvd from VDR

Hi, I'm fairly new to the VDR system. I must say it has met or exceeded my expectations. Nice work! One question: From VDR, I want to play the ISO DVDs that are stored on the hard drive of my windows PC. Using samba, I've mounted the ISO DVDs on VDR and begin playback but I'm getting fseek timeout errors soon after playback starts. The error is ocurring in the DVD nav library. Seeking is taking too long over the network. Anyone tackle this issue already? I was thinking of modifying the code so that it retries the fseek command a couple of times since it probably should work on the second or third time. I know I could setup up a server like VLC on my windows PC and stream it to VDR but I would rather just mount the dvd. By the way, I can do the reverse without problem. Using powerdvd and daemon tools I can mount a VDR-based ISO DVD on my windows PC. I would like to solve this now because I know I will run into the same problem when I setup a client VDR system and try to mount dvds from a VDR server. Any suggestions?
