vdr-xine pvrinput audio stuttering ??

Hello. I've just managed to get my vdr-1.4.0, pvrinput (PVR-150), ivtv 0.6.3 and entirely NTSC system working here in the US, after weeks of diagnosis, hardware replacement, home-grown patches and help from multiple lists <cheers from crowds> :) I have another problem. VDR recordings are fine, but playing live TV through vdr-xine I get an audio stutter every 2 seconds or so. There are no errors on std-out or in the logs. Any ideas?

Hi Simon, you could try the following: in device.c from pvrinput: change codec.stream_type = IVTV_STREAM_PS; // IVTV_STREAM_DVD_S2 to codec.stream_type = IVTV_STREAM_DVD_S2 // IVTV_STREAM_PS; Andreas Kool switched to this stream in analogtv : // for PES, we now uses IVTV_STREAM_DVD_S2, not IVTV_STREAM_PS (XP MediaCenter edition uses it too) codec.stream_type = (s.mpeg_encoder == PVRTS) ? IVTV_STREAM_TS : IVTV_STREAM_DVD_S2; and this solved a stuttering problem with analogtv-plugin. I don´t know why the author of pvrinput decided to use IVTV_STREAM_PS, but I must say that I have no stuttering with both streams. But I think it`s worth a try.

tvtv - causes vdr restart

Which HDTV channels available ?

Hello, regarding http://de.kingofsat.net/hdtv.php there are some "free" hdtv channels in DVB-S MPEG-2 and also in DVB-S MPEG-4. I am specially interested in : Hotbird 6 (13.0E) - 10834.00 V - DVB-S - 27500 3/4 - NID: 176 - TID: 11600 - Txp: 116 - Beam / Ausleuchtzone: Europe - TPS Arte (France) MPEG-4 Is there any way to reccord/watch it from VDR (I use xine) ? femon cleanup/SVDRP enhancement

Hi, After 2 years playing with VDR in home environtment I have a curiosity. Anyone knows some kind of vdr implementation in bussiness environments? Like an hotel or similar? Is viable in that case? I'm thinking in possible commercial applications of VDR out the home user but I have no ideas. Thanks, Leo

pvrinput - NTSC doesn't work? Anyone?

Hi. I can't get the pvrinput plugin to work with NTSC. even though my channels.conf has 4 KOMO;KOMO:67250:I0C0:C:0:301:300:305:A1:996:0:0:0 the 'I0' does not seem to select NTSC. I think the picture is being recorded is at 720x576, 25fps if I do a 'vdrsync.pl -i 001.vdr' the video file created reports: 'CCIR/ITU PAL 625, 4:3, 25 fps' if I get mplayer to play the file directly 'mplayer 001.vdr' it reports: Playing 001.vdr. MPEG-PES file format detected. VIDEO: MPEG2 720x576 (aspect 2) 25.000 fps 6000.0 kbps (750.0 kbyte/s) There's also no audio.? Does pvrinput support NTSC??? I'm happy to email a 5meg .vdr to someone to look at and diagnose for me???????

Hello everyone, a new version of the screenshot plugin is available: --- cut here --- 2006-05-30: Version 0.0.11 - fixed translation of "Show Date" (thx to Elchi) - adapted Makefile to changes in vdr-1.3.47, regarding DVBDIR and APIVERSION - changed "make dist" to produce *.tar.bz2 archives (suggested by Thomas Günther) - now really fixed the bug introduced with "show date" causing wrong file naming - fixed crash when enabling "Show Date" and disabling "Hide Menu" (thx to Elchi for reporting and Michael Maucher for fixing) - introducing delayed snapshot, which can be enabled in the plugin-settings: When selecting "Screenshot" in the main menu (or pressing the corresponding key on your remote), the plugin waits for you to press the Mute-key twice and then takes the screenshot(s). This way, screenshots of arbitrary osd constellations can be taken. VDR Help - Xine Engine error

Hi I run # vdr -Pxine in one console # xine 'vdr:tmp/vdr-xine/stream#demux:mpeg_pes in other console (or # xine -p -s vdr) I get xine osd and I found screen is displayed with following error (If I click on VDR button) - xine engine error - There is no input plugin available to handle 'vdr:tmp/vdr-xine/stream#demux:mpeg_pes' Maybe MRL syntax is wrong or file/stream Source does not exit. In first console :- Vdr-xine: Client connecting ... ::write(65536) returned -1 error 32; broken pipe Vdr-xine: Client disconnected! Vdr-xine: Client connect failed!
