Hi, can someone with a full featured card test the short recording mentioned here: http://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/softdevice-devel/2008q1/003004.html When playing this with softdevice, consecutive subtitle areas are not erased. Between these trace messages there is no deletion of previous OSD area. So if the following area is of smaller size, parts of previous area remain on screen (in softdevice). Locale commandline option. Patch not accepted?

Hi, some time ago I suggested to have a commandline option to specifiy the location of the locale files at runtime. It hasn't appeared in VDR source since then. Has the patch been rejected? Regards. H.264 VPID's

Been playing with this genpix, hd and xine. Pretty much got everything running except for 1 thing seems to be hiding from me. For vdr to be able to tune to a hd channel I need to add 10000 to the vpid’s which I do in my nscan/convert/pad10 no biggie. The problem is that when I tune away from a hd channel vdr rights back to the channels.conf with the normal vpid not the vpid+10000 like I had. I'm sorry for bothering you with a question that should possibly have been sent to the mplayer mailing list. Next week I'm going to Tenerife to relax by the pool, but I don't want to miss any biathlon, alpine- or cross-country skiing transmissions, because then I can't relax.... can't swich from horizintal to vertical polarisation

OK so I fixed all my issues with my clean install of vdr and vdr-xine in Fedora Core 8 except one: - switching from horizontal to vertical polarization does not work, screen goes black, xine stops responding - I can record vertical polarized channels and play back the recording so this doesn't seem to be a driver/hardware issue Fedora Core 8 up to date xine-lib 1.2 pulled from mercurial on the 14th January xine-ui from CVS same day VDR 1.5.13 vdr-xine 0.8.1 DVB drivers from FC8 (after … [View More]

This problem keeps coming up over again, but for some reason Reinhard and Manu don't seem to want to talk about it. I do not understand why you can't use DVB-T with DVB-S2 using the multiproto drivers and VDR, but I doubt it can be much of a problem. I started modifying VDR to use the old API calls for DVB-T whilst using the new calls for DVB-S and S2 and I managed to get VDR to tune to the current DVB-T frequency and show the picture, but it would not tune to new frequencies. :-( I too was … [View More]

Hi, is it correct that h264 is written as PES via PlayVideo() ? For decoding with ffmpeg it would be useful to have a PROGRAM_STREAM_MAP in front of a new video stream. -- Stefan Lucke

I noticed that I could no longer see channels with vertical polarisation - this used to work must have stopped last week. Channels: BBC 2 England;BSkyB:10773:hC56:S28.2E:22000:... etc. works ITV1 London;BSkyB:10759:vC56:S28.2E:22000:... blanks screen vdr 1.5.13, vdr-xine 0.8 Any ideas? Cheers Tony --
