US OTA ATSC - Does it work?

Hello, I have been banging my head on trying to get my two ATSC cards to show content in VDR. I have applied the patch (http://www.fepg.org/patches/vdr-1.7.2-atsc-0.0.3.diff) and also the plugin found here: http://www.fepg.org/atscepgReadMe.html However, the plugin does not lock onto any channels. I am able to use 'scan' and 'w_scan'. However, these scan tools does not seem to produce the correct channels.conf file format. If anyone has made US OTA ATSC work, please provide some guidance. wakealarm stopped working on 21 dec 2009.. ?!?!

I noticed that my vdr server was running when it shouldn't, so I reached the console and forced a "power off"... the server shutdown but then powerup immediately. This happened several times until I discovered that my OpenSuse 11.0 was not accemptin wakeup timers from 22 december... echo $1 > /..../wakealarm accepts value for $1 up to 21 december and refuses to accept values bigger than that (in seconds, of course). Does VDR-1.7.10 support a h264 Datastream from DVB-C card?

Dear list-members, I'm uncertain about the HDTV-capability of vdr-1.7.9 (or 10). In September, I had a sytem running, that could display the "Leichtathletik Weltmeisterschaft" from Berlin, broadcasted by ARD/ZDF in p720. vdpau setup steps for vdr client

I just bought a zotac ion motherboard and plan to harness it in the weekend as a ultimate super master dream vdr client for my 19" monitor :-) Sofar I have used to run vdr-xineliboutput in my clients and would like to do that also with this machine if possible. Currently my server runs vdr 1.6 but I plan to update that also to 1.7.10.
