Hi everyone,
I am using vdr version 1.7.16 and I have discovered some A/V Sync problems
after jumping to another mark or jumping with the yellow/green button.
Is that an already-known-problem?
Hello
I plan to buy an D945GSEJT to build my new VDR box and I would give a
try to the VGA2SCART (FRC) output. My TV-set is still a good old CRT.
1) Is the quality comparable to a dxr3 card which I am satisfied with ?
2) Can it be used with a BCM70015 card in order to play HD channels ?
Thanks
Damien
Hi all!
Is there anyone out there who is using the Via Epia MII 10000 or 12000
board with a current kernel and the 1.6.x build of vdr? I would need
some some up to date-help in getting the onboard mpeg2-chip in use with
the softdevice-plugin.
I'm currently running my system with a budget technotrend dvb-t card,
and a full featured dvb-s card that handles the output of the picture.
Now i'm moving to an area with a dvb-c network, and for that i got my
hands on two buget dvb-c cards.
All …
[View More]documents i find is mainly for old 2.6 kernels (for example 2.6.10),
and what i understood, the unichrome/cle266 patches for the onboard
mpeg2 chip is not included in DirectFB or the main kernel itself...
Best Regards,
René

Hi,
using the instructions given at http://streamdev.vdr-developer.org/
I'm successfully watching http streams from an URL like
http://127.0.0.1:3000/EXT/1
But as soon as I use the semicolon (;) to set the QUALITY parameter,
i.e. http://127.0.0.1:3000/EXT;QUALITY=dsl6000/1, the server will
return HTTP 400 indicating a bad request.
Any advice is appreciated
:-)

In my case i selected these
bs_BA.UTF-8 UTF-8
bs_BA ISO-8859-2
de_AT.UTF-8 UTF-8
de_AT ISO-8859-1
de_AT@euro ISO-8859-15
en_US.UTF-8
en_US.ISO-8859-1
And did locale-gen to generate these, and all went fine. Just on VDR
1.7.16 start I see in its log this:
Nov 29 16:16:40 localhost vdr: [14907] VDR version 1.7.16 started

Nov 29 16:16:40 localhost vdr: [14907] no locale for language code 'ara'
And no other language then English is posible to select inside OSD Settings.
If i just add these more inside /etc/locale.gen
de_DE.UTF-8 UTF-8
de_DE ISO-8859-1
de_DE@euro ISO-8859-15
and do again locale-gen (which also went fine), in log is to see this:
Nov 29 16:18:52 localhost vdr: [17933] VDR version 1.7.16 started
Nov 29 16:18:52 localhost vdr: [17933] switched to user 'vdr'

Nov 29 16:18:52 localhost vdr: [17933] no locale for language code 'por'
Nov 29 16:18:52 localhost vdr: [17933] loading plugin:
/usr/lib/vdr/plugins/libvdr-signal.so.1.7.16
And i can select there other language then just English, even no
locale for them.
Is this above normal behavior or something is wrong here...

Hello,
Here a new release of vdr2jpeg.
http://xxv.berlios.de/content/view/48/1/
Changes
--------
Support new vdr filestructure and fileformat (since VDR-1.7.3)
What's it
---------
vdr2jpeg is a small program, that generated jpeg images from vdr
recordings. For installations you need g++ as compiler and librarys from
ffmpeg as multimedia framework.
See included file README for more details.
http://xxv.berlios.de/content/view/25/42/
Enjoy,
Andreas
Hi List,
Is there a way to change the setup.conf values via script, without stopping vdr ?
Would be niche to have a svdrp command for that !

Hi,
I upgraded my installation to arch linux x86-64 (from ubuntu 32bits)
and now using the same source files for vdr-1.7.15 everything compiles and
works except two things:
a) the eepg plugin refuses to compile:
eepg.c:2687:35: error: expected ‘)’ before ‘*’ token
eepg.c:2776:16: error: expected constructor, destructor, or type
conversion before ‘(’ token
eepg.c:4222:31: error: expected ‘}’ at end of input
Can somebody help ideally by pointing out what I need to do to get it to
compile and …
[View More]failing that supplying a 64 bits compiled libvdr-eep.so.1.7.15
b) sometimes when changing channel something very weird happens with xine,
it freezes and I need to kill xine and open it again to zap to
the new channel. The error log is clear, but how do I fix this?
cat /var/log/vdr.log
vdr: /usr/lib/vdr/plugins/libvdr-'xine.so.1.7.15: no se puede abrir el
fichero del objeto compartido: No existe el fichero o el directorio
(can not open file because it doesn´t exist)
Many thanks,
A Martinez
