xineliboutput UDP detach from stream

I have have witness the same behavior with screen blinking with xineliboutput (vdr-sxfe as remote client while connecting with TCP transport to the vdr-server) when changing the channels. I often get screen blinking when I change the channels to fast with my MCE remote (using the MCE remote arrows up and down for browsing through the channels). USB IR Receiver not loaded when vdr starts on boot

Hi, The script 'runvdr' sets the following access permissions: chmod o+r /dev/input/event* But since the IR receiver on my USB NOVA-T Stick has not loaded to /dev/input/event5 when runvdr sets the permissions, vdr refuses to start properly when booting the machine. The error is stated as a "Permission denied" on the remote device By doing mv /etc/rc2.d/S20vdr /etc/rc2.d/S30vdr the problem goes away. I'm on Ubuntu Lucid btw. :D /Peter Odéus

A/V out of sync for BSkyB channels Channel4, More4, E4, Film4

Hi, I'm looking for help with my vdr 1.6 system. I think the problem only affects BSkyB channels Channel4, More4, E4 and Film4: those channels a/v are out of sync (sometimes more, sometimes less). Recordings from those channels are also affected. I think that at some point, I didn't have this a/v sync issue, but I could be wrong. Dual DVB-S2 Tuner cards

Hi guys, do any of you have information with regards to Dual DVB-S2 Tuners on a PCI or preferably a PCI-E type card working on vdr? I did have a look on http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-S2_PCIe_Cards But only mentions 2 and they seem to be a rare find. Well at least where I live. Does anybody else know of working DVB-S2 cards for Linux? Feature request: program guide scroll

Hello list, At the moment if I press the Guide button (or select a specific program from EPG list) i can see the detailed description of the event. Now pressing up/down or left/right scrolls the "Long Description", if this doesn't fit in the OSD window. I wonder if it's possible to implement a different behaviour for the left/right keys: to "scroll" between programs. Insufficient hardware PID filters on tuner

Hi list, Having another go at a long-standing problem on Freecom USB tuners - a bit more testing: Using VDR 1.6.0.2, and the problem seems to be that the tuners run out of hardware PID's. number of remote clients

Hi, I would like to run vdr with more than one remote client using the xinelib plugin. It currently works, and both clients see the same picture. Is it possible to have two clients watching different channels or different recordings? My layout is to have a central server that has the DVB cards in it, and then TVs in different rooms to display the content from the central server. Kind Regards James
