howto ignore lines in channels.conf

Hi All, I would like to add some comments to channels.conf, and remove some channels I never watch. I have tried adding lines beginning with #, but this does not work, I still see those channels when I choose "channels" in VDR. What charakter can i add in front of a line to let the line be ignored? digitenne, howto watch pin-protected channels?

Hi all, I use vdr, oscam and sc to watch digitenne. I can see all the free to air, and scrambled channels without any problems. The only channel I can't watch is an adult channel. This channel is protected by a PIN code. When I use the origional digitenne receiver from the KPN, I can enter the pin code, and watch the channel. Could you please tell me where I can enter this pin code in VDR / oscam or the sc plugin? Best regards, Cedric

Turns out ZDF releases new event ids for each event instead of status 3 flagging, but they are all using the same pdc time (09:55). @Klaus: Are you aware, that recording only the 2nd event (12:05-03:55) is impossible in this case? vdr will automatically remove timers with the same pdc time, only one timer is kept, and vdr will start recording immediately, if you're already in the first event's timeframe (09:55-12:00). Patch: Eliminate duplicate events when using xmltv2vdr

Hi, I started to use xmltv2vdr for some channels with poor EPG data. I do not want to use xmltv2vdr for all channels so I modified xmltv2vdr.pl script to clear only the channels which will be grabbed with xmltv. The result was multiple EPG events for some programs. I found 2 issues in VDR code that caused this. 1. CLRE for a channel does not always clear all events. I compared CLRE for clearing all channels and noticed that it also clears events in timers. digitenne disturbance, poor reception or mistake in descrambling?

Hi All, I have setup vdr to receive and decode digitenne. I have used the following manuals: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VDR https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Digitenne Sometimes i see some disturbance in the received image. I wonder if this is due to poor reception, or by a problem of the decoding of the scrambled channels. Does vdr keep statistics of the reception quality? vdr-sxfe: no reaction to enter key, external keyboard works fine

Hi All, I have installed vdr on 2 laptops and a desktop. On my laptop and the desktop it works OK, but on the laptop of my girlfriend vdr-sxfe does not respond to the enter key. When we connect an external keyboard to the laptop, the enter key works as expected. What can I do to investigate this? Best regards, Cedric
