playing two audio streams at the same time

Hello, Is it possible today with vdr, to send one audio channel to the headphones and the other audio channel to the speakers (or another headphones)? (it wasn't possible about 4 years ago) Example: we watch a film recorded from Arte, and my wife wants to listen to the French, and I want to listen to the German audio channel. ring buffer overflows

Because of many problems with three different TV cards I had prevoiusly - I bought one which claims full linux support - Qbox II by TBS. After a few hours I have card working, hovewer I have a problem too. When I'm recording it seems ok, but when I'm watching through streamdev + VLC, there are errors about buffer overflow. Often it causes viewing to stop after a minute or so. I suspect there is need to set some larger buffers but I don't know where. bug dvb subtitle

Hello, What i know is the change for BBC channels break all dvb-t french channel dvb subtitles. Someone in french forum report that the same for Tv5 on astra. I don't know for other channel and i don't have dvb-s. I just tweak vdr with previously patch to make that work like before. I don't have the skill to do better. see you

Hello, I recently change vdr-1.7.23 to vdr-1.7.29 Now, dvb subtitle are badly display Jerky, faster speeds, and the display remains on the last sentence until a new dialogue happens. (clearly visible in a scene change) It's available for dvb-t and dvb-s (almost TV5 Monde Europe on astra) It's seem that is "improving handling subtitles of BBC channels" from vdr-1.7.24 that make the bug with the delete of "page->regions.Clear(); in dvbsubtitle.c|| with this patch that work fine again … [View More]

vdr-sxfe OSD transparency

Hi, Upgraded a bunch of stuff (vdr -> 1.7.28, xinelib -> latest from hg) and I've lost my transparent OSD (ST:TNG) when using vdr-sxfe. What is it that controls the transparency of the OSD? Does vdr overlay the OSD onto the video, or is it sent as a separate layer somehow to the output device and the output device decides how to merge?
