Hi, recently I started to give some maintenance to a plugin [1] which seemed to be orphaned for a while and needed by several, as I knew from the German VDR-Portal, subscribers of Sky Germany. The plugin was called Arghdirector, it is a fork of an even older one, called "director", possibly because of the marketing name used by Sky Germany and former Premiere for their NVOD feeds at that time. Patch: Add 'MUTEON' and 'MUTEOFF' options to the SVDRP VOLU command

Hi all, I made a tiny patch to extend the SVDRP VOLU command. Up until now VDR only had an option to _toggle_ the current audio muted status, but no options to force the audio muted status on or off. I want to mute the audio via SVDRP and unmute it again later. My usecase: I'm running mpd on the same host as VDR, if I start playing music with mpd from my tablet I can mute VDR automatically with a shell script and unmute it again after stopping the music. Hello I use Debian for years and to keep it clean I'm trying to use all software from packages. It generally works, hovewer I have problem with VDR, XBMC and drivers. Usually to have the newest driver I need to use some unstable version of VDR with the newest possible kernel. VDR's UpdateChannels destroys channel information

Hi! I have mysterious problem with some channels.. All seem to be on S13.0E, but on different transponders. According to http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-13E.php page, "Disney Channel HD Italia" is DVB-S2, 8PSK, SR 29900. However, I seem to have DVB-S, QPSK, SR 27500 in my channels.conf. Audio problem on Channel 4 HD on Freeview

The last two times I looked at Channel 4 HD on Freeview (DVB-T2) there was a strange problem with the audio. All the ambient sounds and background music were there but voices were very muffled. One time was a film and the other was a US drama series (Revenge). The same channel on Freesat (DVB-S2) was OK. This was on a "remote client" using xineliboutput + vdr-sxfe with analogue stereo audio. Running vdr 1.7.41 I have previously seen this issue on earlier development snapshots, but had simply ignored it as I was running development code. However, as we near 2.0, I thought I might query it on the mailing list. Makefile variable names LCLBLD and PLGCFG

Hello, Should probably have spoken earlier, but is there any particular reason for the ugly and hard to read Makefile variable names LCLBLD and PLGCFG? I suppose they're short for LOCALBUILD and PLUGINCONFIG, but why do they have to be short for anything, it's not like we're running out of space for their names anywhere, is it? [PATCH] minor vdr.5 formatting fix

The formatting of the sample channels.conf entry for RTL Television gets badly paragraph wrapped in vdr.5. Simple fix to prevent line wrapping happening is to put it into a table. Patch attached. This also fixes a lintian warning about this line in debian build logs.

recording hook

I would like to make after recording hook which create symlink for 00001.ts file. Name of this symlink should be made of title (T in info file). I will take care of duplicates etc, but now I would like to know if it's possible to easily read title. For now I have a script which simply parse info file, but maybe there is simpler way? Maybe VDR sets some environment variables or something? Marx
