VDR with tone burst switches?

Hi all, Can one get VDR to work with 22 kHz 2x1 toneburst switches (i.e. no DiSEqC switches)? I'm wondering if anyone has found toneburst to be faster and/or more reliable than DiSEqC. (I think the answer to my own question is "yes", the "SW" setting, but I would like to confirm). I am trying to use a 4x1 DiSEqC switch but oddly some transponders don't scan with the switch inserted (they scan perfectly without the switch). Thanks, CR.

Hi, just a small bug fix release: 2006-04-18: Version 0.9.16 (maintenance release) fixes: - the display of 'Overview - Now' was broken, when using progressbar and channel numbers in default menu look. Thanks to Gerhard Steiner for reporting this one. - when using small OSD fonts, the progressbars where flickering because of 1 pixel line height. Thanks to holymoly and TomG@vdrportal. - support for the APIVERSION define as introduced in vdr-1.3.47 PS: users of the skin soppalusikka might wonder why there is no gap between progressbar and status fields in 'Overview - Now' when using the default menu. Rolf Ahrenberg told me, that this will probably be 'fixed' (it's not a bug!) with the next version of his skin. list mirroring

Hi Klaus, today I've got some SPAM directed to my address used VDR related things. After some Googling I've found another web site mirroring this list (http://pvrweb.com). I think the mirror is auto created, but the generated threads contains all the sender mail addresses for followup messages in clear text. Now my question: Is it possible to replace the "From:" lines with some other text but the real sender addresses? OK - there will be a problem with replying to the sender only, but publishing my address to all the friendly spammers is a bigger problem for me. Greetings, Bernd -- while(!asleep()) sheep++;

Failed compile with Burn and Streamdev plugins against vdr-1.3.47

I noticed a problem with some plugins when building against vdr-1.3.47. capabilites not supported in linux 2.4

Hi, vdr can not be compiled on my 2.4 system because setting capabilities is not supported. Maybe it would be nice if this feature is automatically disabled if a 2.4 kernel is found? This would save compatability to older systems. Only a suggestion. Christoph.

Feature Request: send keys first to skins, while display

For change the aktion of keys please send the key while display a osd-object first to the skin. While display to Channelinfo, the skin can change the funktion of the keys to display to epg-info or quick programming a timer ... ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************* Falls meine Übersetzung oben zu schwer zu lesen ist: Gewünscht wird eine Funktion, daß die Tastaturereignisse, wenn ein OSD-Objekt (z.B. DisplayChannel) dargestellt wird, zuerst an das entsprechende Skin-Objekt zur Auswertung gesendet wird. Damit soll z.B. erreicht werden, daß die Sendungsinformationen bei DisplayChannel mit der grünen (aktuell) und gelben (nächste Sendung) einfach aufzurufen sind. Durch die blaue Taste ist ein Umschalten zur nächsten Sendung einfach möglich. Diese Funktionen sind im großen Gesamt-Patch des 1.2.6 enthalten und ich möchte sie nicht wieder hergeben. Hardy

[Patch] Public access to cRecording::fileSizeMB

Hi Klaus, The attached patch provides public access to cRecording::fileSizeMB by adding a function cRecording::FileSizeMB(). The size is calculated if it is still unknown. Please consider adding the patch to VDR. The patch shouldn't have any negative side effects and might be useful to others.
