MP3 plugin with NPTL

Is anyone using the MP3 plugin while running VDR with NPTL? It kind of "works", as in "starts playing", but there's a huge delay before any remote controller key presses affect anything. No such problems when running with LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 here.

xine-plugin, OSD and scale ?

Hello, I am very happy with xine and VDR, I have a little feature request : lots of channels are broadcasted with lots of black borders which I get ride of with xine z,alt-z and ctrl-z but that leave a problem with the OSD being streched and having big parts not visible anymore. Off course I could use X11 overlay, but the result is not that nice... Have I missunderstood some xine/VDR options ? -- Gr/'egoire FAVRE

linux-kernel-headers 2.6.12

In Debian (Sid), the linux-kernel-headers have been updated to 2.6.12 and now vdr will not build (also most of the plugins break too). I have tried both gcc-4.0 and gcc-3.4 with the same results. need noEPG Patch for 1.3.27

Hey, I'm looking for a noEPG Patch for VDR 1.3.27. Currently in use is vdr-noepg-0.3-1.3.20.diff with VDR 1.3.24. With this patch u can disable EPG scan by channel. I can apply this patch to the sources without rejects (and succeeded hunks) and compile, but at VDR startup theres no OSD and by pressing menu on the remote the whole VDR is dying with a segfault. Can anyone help me out with an acutal patch? thanks, Christian aka devzero

I have installed VDR with sc plugin accordingly with vdr-softcam how to for gentoo system. But It doesn't work... Anyone cuold help me??? I whant to watch MULTIVISION on Hotbird-13.0. My SoftCam.key works fine with ProgDVB and S2emu-Fenrir in Winzozz. I have cottected CA in setup.conf to 500 65. [ANNOUNCE] savechannel plugin

Due do many plugin and many patches, my vdr from time to time crashes. This isn't a big problem since it restarts, *but*, since it hadn't the opportunity to save setup.conf, it will restart on a different channel than the one where it crashed. This really annoyed me (moreso if the other channel was on a different satellite at the opposite end of the arc ;-), and I wanted vdr to save the channel every time it changes, in a different file to avoid unnecessarily saving setup.conf. Instead of patching vdr, I made a really simple and dumb plugin to accomplish it. [ANNOUNCE] Proxy-Plugin 0.1

Hi list, This is the first release of the Proxy plugin for VDR. Proxy is a plugin that loads a plugin. Seriously. ;) The proxy plugin acts as a wrapper that encapsulates a VDR plugin and passes through all interfaces. To make this actually useful, the proxy plugin can modify the behavior of plugins, like changing the menu entry, group several plugins in one sub menu and load/unload plugins while VDR is running. This works even though proxy is 'just' a plugin, and does not require any patches to VDR.
